Weaver Forward

Reimagining Downtown Weaverville

The non-profit Trinity County Community Development Corporation (TCDC) has been awarded a $50,000 Rural Business Development Grant from USDA Rural Development to support the Weaver Forward project.

Weaver Forward brings together ideas the community has talked about for decades for central Weaverville: connecting trails along Sidney Gulch and Weaver Creek, restored salmon habitat, better protection from flooding, and a downtown that's more connected and vibrant. Over the next year, this grant will fund the planning that turns those ideas into something we can build together. That means conversations with residents, businesses and partners, artist renderings so people can see what's possible, early work on rights-of-way, and a business plan to guide what comes next.

TCDC is the grant recipient, and will be working with many partners who have carried pieces of this vision for years. We're grateful to USDA Rural Development for the support, and to everyone who helped put the application together.

You'll hear more from us as the community conversations begin, and we hope you'll join in.

This is Trinity County.
